Although my uncle’s life was cut too short due to this disease, I feel tremendously grateful that he lived in a place where he had full access to cutting edge AIDS treatments. It allowed for him to be here long enough for me to get to know him…and miss him. I was lucky but, of course, this is not the case for everyone whose life has been affected by AIDS (to whatever degree that may be). If nothing else, become/remain educated.

Today, in front of everyone, my manager compared my hair to her horse’s mane. This happened 20 minutes or so after I arrived to work by walking in the rain for 1.2 miles.

That is all I have to say about Monday.

~~Monday: Work, work, work. Last night of Mom’s visit.~~

Tuesday: Take Mom to the airport, yet again :( Close account at WAMU (those stupid fees better be refunded!) Will make an effort to walk to work if the clouds decide to finally stop pouring rain. Maybe attend a free Pilates class for the first time ever.

Wednesday: Full day at work. Full evening of doing nothing at home. Maybe I should make some phone calls?

Thursday: blahblahblahRUNblahblahWORKblahblah…DESTROYER (@ Mississippi Studios)

Friday: Friday Fun Night???

Saturday: Curious to know who I will see at the Farmer’s Market this week. Past sightings include: Kerri Russell (twice in one visit), boy in the O’s hat (two weeks in a row), fellow Messiah ‘07 grad/freshman hallmate that I had NO IDEA was living in PDX, and Colin Meloy (personally didn’t see, but the rest of my group did). The rest of the day is open for interpretation.

Sunday: Likely to visit a new church. Somewhat likely to sing a Patsy Cline tune during Karaoke. More likely to take a nap.

When I first peered out the picture window in our living room last night, Liz thought my sudden verbal reaction was to a horrific scene that was taking place on the corner. However, it was simply because there were almost too many bright colors to take in all at once, at the end of a long day:

So, I’ve been sitting on a Flickr account for several months now, but I never uploaded my first photo until this morning. It’s crazy, I know. My first photo set was created for images that I intend on posting here. Once I have a few more sets completed (or, at least started), I will post my Flickr account here, as well as on Facebook, so that you can actually view my photos at their best quality. What a difference that will be!

Anyway, to kick off what will hopefully be the start of more consistent and frequent “photo-blogging” (or “photo-assisted” blogging), here are some shots from this past Tuesday. The first four were taken while Dan Z, Luna(beans) and I went to the neighborhood park to play some hoops.
